I started freelancing in 2009, working on websites, banner ads, storyboards, logos, animations, and print products. I've served as the Illustration and Design Program Manager at Cell Press and Lead Graphic Designer at Vizgen, Inc. I currently do graphic design at Triumvirate Environmental in Somerville, MA, while continuing to find freelance projects that inspire me. I've independently produced full-length graphic novels, 2 collections of single-panel cartoons, and a few children's books. Besides visual arts, I'm a musician and songwriter. I've been playing local shows in a band for over a dozen years—often on guitar, mandolin, pedal steel, and keyboard. My trumpet playing came and went with the pandemic.
Outside of creative pursuits, I've served as a board member at the Somerville Media Center and as an advisory board member for Somerville's Arts at the Armory. I'm also a longtime member of Cambridge/Somerville's local Amnesty International USA chapter. Until recently, the group has put on a yearly human rights event in New York City called Get on the Bus for Human Rights. The event brought in high school students from around the region for a day of education and activism. In 2023, I founded the climate justice group Climate Rights Coalition (CRC). CRC is dedicated to bringing accountability to corporate actors that are generating climate-related human rights harms. Joined by over 175 partner organizations, we initiated a UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights grievance mechanism in 2024. The purpose of this was to address fossil fuel expansion and misinformation issues at a UK-based data analytics firm. As part of this process, we filed an official complaint with the United Nations, giving voice to organizations and rights holders around the world. Later in 2024, I was the plaintiff in a lawsuit alleging that, in the words of one filing, the company's “greenwashing practices are materially misleading to consumers, investors, and impose severe public harm.” A 2025 OECD report noted that the lawsuit addressed apparent "contradictions between the company's stated policy objectives and its actual business practices in promoting fossil fuel activities (United States District Court, 2024). This development is unprecedented and may shape the direction of private enforcement actions against companies for sustainability washing."
In 2026, the scientist-activist group Scientist Rebellion opted to continue CRC's grievance mechanism, which remains ongoing.
